Excess Capacity is Your Friend

Business Business Model Mind Set

Having excess capacity goes against traditional “accounting firm” thinking.

But trying to run your practice at full capacity is NOT the way to success.

It’s exactly the opposite – it’s detrimental to your practice.

Excess Capacity is what you always want…and here’s 3 reasons why.

I agree with all three points. Absolutely I would rather have more time on my hands and be less rushed. I do a better job when I’m not stressed. Second, I hate turning away work, so I always say yes, and having extra capacity would go a long way to getting new work done in a timely manner. Third, I would really like to have more time to spend on the sales/marketing aspect of my practice. So I guess that means I’m going to go out there and find some capacity! (Ahhh!… next problem to solve).

I’m glad you agree Dee. Excess capacity has so many benefits. You can achieve this too. Focus on your business model and building your practice purposefully and it will come.
